Dr. Pasricha is vice chair of medicine for innovation and commercialization, professor of medicine and neurosciences, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and professor of innovation management, Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business. Dr. Pasricha received his M.D. degree from the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 1982. He completed his medical training at Georgetown University-DC General Hospital, Tufts-New England Medical Center and Johns Hopkins Hospital. He previously was chief of gastroenterology and hepatology at Stanford. A leading expert and innovator in GI medicine, Dr. Pasricha has created diagnostic and therapeutic solutions to common GI healthcare problems, earning over 50 patents and co-founding several companies in this space, including Neurogastrx.
Colin Howden, M.D.
Colin Howden, M.D., is emeritus professor of medicine, division of gastroenterology, University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Memphis. Trained in internal medicine, gastroenterology and clinical pharmacology and board-certified in gastroenterology until 2025, Dr. Howden has contributed to the understanding of GI and internal medicine for more than four decades. He was senior attending physician and professor of medicine at several academic medical centers and made vast contributions to research, scientific publications, books and with medical groups. He also has advised pharmaceutical companies on clinical trials, professional education and marketing and was principal of Strategic Consultants International (SCI) plc, a medical communications and consulting agency.
